Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated on Monday 9th march 2026
I am James Carson, and I am working to make my site, jamescarsonhypnotherapy.com, accessible to people with disabilities. My goal is to ensure that everyone, whether they are seeking help with smoking, weight loss, or other services, I offer can access my information with ease.

What web accessibility is

An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

I have adapted this site in accordance with WCAG 2.1 guidelines, and I have made the site accessible to the level of AA. The contents of this site have been adapted to work with assistive technologies, such as screen readers and keyboard use.

As part of this effort, I have also

* Used the Accessibility Wizard to find and fix potential accessibility issues.
* Set the language of the site to Irish English.
* Set the logical content order of the pages on the site.
* Defined clear heading structures on all of the pages on the site.
* Added alternative text to images of my clinic and therapy rooms.
* Implemented colour combinations that meet the required colour contrast.
* Ensured all videos, audio, and files on the site are accessible.

Third-Party Content

Declaration of partial compliance

The accessibility of certain pages on this site depends on the contents and tools that do not belong to me, but instead belong to Setmore and Google Maps. These tools are used to provide online booking for my core services and to help you find my location in Carrickmacross.
I therefore declare partial compliance with the accessibility standards for these specific sections. If you find any difficulty using the booking system or the map, please contact me directly, and I will be happy to assist you or take your booking manually.

Physical Accessibility

My practice is located in a dedicated therapy cabin in Carrickmacross, County Monaghan. I welcome clients from across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Please note the following regarding physical access:
* Parking: There is parking available directly outside the property.
* Entry: Access to my therapy cabin involves two small steps from the garden area.
* Alternatives: If these steps present a barrier for you, I am happy to provide my core services via a remote video session or a phone consultation.
